2017 has seen the world of conversational AI move from theory to practical applications. There are more than 100 companies globally with live applications of chatbots. It was opportune that AWS announced a host of features at their year end conference that go a long way in supporting the chatbot developer community. The first few big acquisitions in our space were also made in 2017. We believe 2018 is going to be the hyper growth year for conversational interfaces. From voice to text to local languages, you will see bots built for every type of application across consumer and enterprise sectors. There will be at least one chatbot that will reach the scale of more than 10 million active users. We will also see bots replace business functions in the intra-office space for things like HR, IT, helpdesk, etc.
Its 1994 and Yahoo.com has just launched.
Its 2009 and the App store has just launched.
That’s what 2018 is going to be for conversational artificial intelligence.
Haptik is one of the world’s largest chatbot platforms, building applications for consumers, publishers, and enterprises. The company has been at the forefront of the paradigm shift from apps to bots, having worked across various chatbot use cases such as commerce, customer service, utility and lead generation. Haptik’s partners and clients in India include Coca-Cola, HDFC Life, Samsung, Sharekhan, Edelweiss Tokio, Goibibo, Amazon Pay among others.
In April 2016, Times Internet led a Series B round of investment in Haptik, making it one of the most well funded independent chatbot companies in the world.
