GfK: Supervisory Board extends contract of CEO Matthias Hartmann

Matthias Hartmann, CEO, GfK SENuremberg, 20 February 2014 – The Supervisory Board of GfK SE has extended the contract of CEO Matthias Hartmann by five years. The Supervisory Board’s unanimous decision has shown their commitment to continuity in implementing GfK’s corporate strategy.

The contract, which was set to expire at the end of November 2014, has been extended by five years to 30 November 2019. The extension was unanimously approved at the meeting held on 4 December 2013.

Dr. Arno Mahlert, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of GfK SE, commented: “We are very pleased that Matthias Hartmann will continue his successful work at GfK. His leadership has consistently driven the strategic and operational development of the company. We look forward to continuing on this path under his direction.”

Matthias Hartmann has been CEO of GfK since 1 December 2011. Born in 1966, he was trained in Business Administration and occupied various roles at IBM before joining GfK.
