Early Bird announces the publication of the ‘Handbook for Bird Educators‘ on October 3rd, World Nature Day. Inspired by our love of birds, this handbook is meant as a reference guide for any adult who can mentor a child to start her nature appreciation journey through the fascinating world of birds.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Birds are beautiful, accessible and interesting, and a perfect starting point for introducing the marvels of nature to children. This 142-page ‘Handbook for Bird Educators’ is a guide to inspire and equip educators – teachers, parents, birders, non-birders – with the information, tools and ideas to engage children about the wonder of birds. The handbook is loaded with information about birds, and practical and detailed instructions on conducting bird walks, talking to children about birds, and designing fun activities that are game-based and art-based, while promoting learning.
The print version of the ‘Handbook for Bird Educators’ can be pre-ordered for Rs. 150. Translations into several languages are planned. ABOUT EARLY BIRD
Early Bird is a not-for-profit initiative to bring children closer to birds and nature. We do this through a combination of content creation, training of educators, and direct outreach. We envision a world in which young people celebrate, understand and value nature, and are motivated to take responsibility as custodians of our planet.
