Two new members join the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG

thyssenkruppTwo new appointments have been made to the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG. Dr. Kersten von Schenck, who has been a member of the board since 2004 – since 2010 as a member designated by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation – is standing down from the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. The Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG thanks Dr. von Schenck for his long years of service. Dr. Gerhard Cromme stood down at March 31, 2013.


The two vacant seats are being filled by Carsten Spohr, member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, and Dr. Lothar Steinebach. Dr. Steinebach was a member of the Management Board of Henkel Management AG until 2012 and is a member of the Supervisory Board of Altana AG.

The shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG have accepted a proposal by the Nomination Committee and recommended Carsten Spohr and Dr. Lothar Steinebach as new Supervisory Board members. Carsten Spohr and Dr. Lothar Steinebach are delegated to the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation with immediate effect. Neither is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.
