Dave Mitch named President and CEO
TMK IPSCO, the North American division of global pipe manufacturer TMK announces, TMK IPSCO President and CEO Vicki Avril has decided to leave the Company, effective September 30, 2013.
“Since 2008, Vicki has played an integral role in establishing TMK IPSCO as the leading company it is today. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that a solid platform has been established for the TMK Group in the United States, and has been a great champion for the company, both externally and within the group. TMK Chairman Dmitry Pumpyanskiy, the Board and I all express our heartfelt thanks to Vicki”, said TMK IPSCO Chairman Piotr Galitzine. “She can be exceptionally proud of the legacy she leaves behind after five years at the helm, with all the major tactical and strategic goals for the American Division achieved,” he added.
Dave Mitch will be appointed President and CEO of TMK IPSCO effective October 1st. He brings to this position not only 38 years in the steel and steel pipe industry at such companies as Armco, Copperweld, Lone Star Steel and US Steel, but also almost two years as Senior VP and Chief Operations Officer of TMK IPSCO.
