New Delhi, 18 February, 2015: TLC presents a culinary battle between multi award-winning food writer and television presenter Nigella Lawson, chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain and critically acclaimed chef Ludo Lefebvre in the new series THE TASTE. Watch teams of professional and amateur cooks battle it out to impress these tough-to-please judges.
THE TASTE premieres March 2, 2015 and will air every Monday and Tuesday at 9PM on TLC.
The trio is in search to find out UK’s first winner of THE TASTE. Twelve competitors, from varied backgrounds, cook dishes in an attempt to impress three of the world’s most famous chefs. Three teams of four aspiring chefs are mentored by the trio, where they take on each other to survive the extreme fight to be the first winner of THE TASTE.

All the dishes will be judged in a blind taste test. Each episode will witness the collision of fiery challenges, blind-taste eliminations and simmering egos which are cooked up as the contestants’ battle it out to please the palates of the mentors.

About the judges:
Nigella Lawson is an internationally renowned food writer and TV cook with nine bestselling books to her name, including How to Eat, How to be a Domestic Goddess, Nigella Bites, Nigella Express, Kitchen: Recipes from the Heart of the Home, and, most recently, Nigellissima: Instant Italian Inspiration.
Several successful TV series and her recent iPhone App, Nigella Quick Collection, have made hers a household name around the world. She lives in London with her children.
Author, TV host and producer Anthony Bourdain is best known for travelling on his stomach in his TV show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. He is the author of the bestselling Kitchen Confidential, as well as A Cook’s Tour, Medium Raw, and several other titles.
His work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York Times, Times of London, Bon Appetit, and many other publications. His publishing line, Anthony Bourdain Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, released its first titles in 2013.
Ludo Lefebvre is one of the most influential chefs in Los Angeles dining. The French-born chef is credited with pioneering the LA pop up restaurant movement through the launch of LudoBites.His first bricks and mortar modern fine dining restaurant, TroisMec, received widespread critical acclaim and continues to win prestigious accolades.
He made a name for himself as the executive chef at L’Orangerie and Bastide, where he quickly established a reputation for his ability to combine Old World simplicity and New World imagination. He has published two cookery books: Crave, A Feast of the Five Senses and LudoBites, recipes and stories from the pop-ups of Ludo Lefebvre.
