The story of Che Guevara: the man, and the historical icon.

Fifty years after Ernesto Guevara’s death, Che Guevara tú y Todos seeks to rescue the Argentine revolutionary from the pop-oblivion of posters and tshirts by restoring his more historical, vital, and human dimensions.

Taking its title from a poem written by Guevara for his wife prior to leaving for Bolivia, tú y Todos develops over three levels. The first discusses the geopolitical context, employing a journalistic style of narration. The second level is biographical. Documented by numerous, original archived materials, it explores the Guevara’s private and public experiences: his official speeches, his considerations on education, foreign policy and economics, his notion of the revolution and his hope in “New Man”.

The third level is a study in Guevara’s a-temporal significance, revealing the essence of the man who so deeply marked an age: El Che, talking about himself. Employing a more intimate approach, it focuses on texts of a personal nature, such as diary entries and letters to friends and family, as well as transcriptions of poems dedicated to his wife Aleida, revealing Guevara’s doubts, contradictions and reflections.
