THE NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY inks MoU with Mitsubishi Electric India for student training

northcapIn a bid to align its teaching and training process with the best of industry practices, THE NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY, Gurgaon recently signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited (MEL), a well-known brand and global leader in electric and electronic equipment for residential, commercial and industrial use. The main objective to sign the agreement was to establish collaboration between NCU and MEL to spread awareness about automation amongst engineering students and provide training to them.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the University campus by Col Bikram Mohanty (Retd), Registrar, The NorthCap University, and Mr Makoto Kitai, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited with Mr Pradeep Rohilla, Assistant Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engineering, The NorthCap University.

According to the MoU, MEL will supply the Mitsubishi FA training equipment to NCU for demonstration, learning and training purposes. MEL has provided software for simulation and programming of training equipment which will be used for student training and demonstration. They will also support the University in student projects and training. The training will be provided on PLC (Programmable Logic Control). This will open great opportunities for students to learn about the industry and will benefit all the streams of engineering including students of PhD, MTech and BTech.

Col Bikram Mohanty (Retd), Registrar, The NorthCap University said, “This agreement with Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited will help the University to strengthen our academic-industry relationship. The students will be trained on the software which will be helpful in their future endeavors. We look forward to having a fruitful association with MEL.”
