Siemens to modernize offgas cooling in Eisenhüttenstadt for ArcelorMittal

•	Primary dedusting system on converter 2 equipped with new cooling stack
•	New dual flow nozzle spray system will improve offgas cleaning

ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt has awarded Siemens Metals Technologies an order to equip the off-gas cleaning system on LD(BOF) converter 2 with a new cooling stack. This will also involve the installation of a new dual flow nozzle spray system which will facilitate better conditioning of the converter offgas. The new cooling stack is due to go in operation in June 2014. The order also includes an option to install a cooling stack on converter 1.
