PUMA Thunder Spectra packs up a storm in India

The much-hyped silhouette launched in two colourways is sold out within hours of its drop in the country

National, 2nd July 2018: Global sportswear brand PUMA launched the much-anticipated PUMA Thunder Spectra yesterday in India at their store in Select City Walk Mall, Delhi. The kicks were all sold out within just two hours of hitting the store. Sneaker lovers from across Delhi and India queued up for hours outside the PUMA store just to get their hands on this iconic new sneaker.

Along with the much-anticipated PUMA Black, the PUMA White Drizzle colourway has been released exclusively in India as a preview to its global launch slated for later this year. This exciting sneak peek of the white drizzle colourway is a first ever for PUMA in India.

Thunder Spectra is grabbing headlines across the world, spotted on celebrities like Lewis Hamilton, Big Sean, Belly, Krept, this has become the must have dad shoe globally. With the much hyped global launch and restock, the PUMA Thunder Spectra has shot the brand to the forefront of the sneaker game.

The dad shoe takes cues from 90s running silhouettes and the legendary PUMA x McQueen collaboration, to be reimagined as an unapologetically bold and bulky silhouette. Inspired by the human anatomy, the Thunder Spectra’s bulky form comes from its expanded molded TPU midsole laid over the premium mesh and nubuck for an unmistakable rib cage effect. A comfortable and lightweight IMEVA midsole keeps these sneakers functional and easy on the foot.

With exaggerated tooling, blown-up proportions, a black leather upper and bright color blocking in red, yellow, teal, and powder blue accents, Thunder Spectra makes a case for the current craze of chunky silhouettes while paying homage to the brand’s history of performance innovation.

The Thunder Spectra dropped in two colourways – PUMA Black and a limited pre-launch of PUMA White Drizzle.

The Thunder Spectra is priced at INR 9999.
