Kolkata October 25th, 2017. The Peerless General Finance & Investment Company Limited (PGFI) celebrated its 85 years of being in Kolkata today. The day’s events were solemnised by the chanting of vedic hymns by the students of the Narendrapur Blind Boys Academy and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Swami Girishanandaji Mahraj and Swami Vimalatmanandaji Mahraj.
The Welcome address was delivered by B. Lahiri, the Dy. Managing Director of the Company, followed by speeches by S M Datta, Chairman of the Company and D N Ghosh, ex-Chairman and director of the company.
S K Roy, the managing Director and the moving spirit of the company spoke at length about his close to five-decade old association with the company and reminisced about the extraordinary journey of the company. He also called on the employees to continue the company’s search for excellence, to keep the flag of trust, transparency and commitment to the cause flying high.

Debashree Roy, President – Corporate of Peerless Hotels Limited enumerated the expansion plans of the company and welcomed the inauguration of Aheli Express, a quick service restaurant, whose first outlet was inaugurated at Decres Lane to mark the solemn occasion.
