Navras School of Performing Arts, founded in 2009 has worked incessantly towards reviving the art and culture tradition of Patna with over sixteen programs featuring renowned Indian and International artists. As part of this endeavor to regenerate interest in literature and promote interaction between the readers and the authors in this once most coveted center for knowledge and philosophy, the Navras School of Performing Arts, in association with Department of Art, Culture & Youth, Govt. of Bihar and Dainik Jagaran organized the first Patna Literature Festival in 2013, in Bihar. The overwhelming response of the literature lovers of Patna and around was the most magnificent marker of the festival’s accomplishments.

This year the Patna Literature Festival will be held from February 14-16, 2014 at the Patna Museum, Patna.The focus will be on promoting Indian languages like Hindi, Urdu, Maithili, Bhojpuri, English and Magahi-the regional language of Bihar. There will be debates, talks and discussions on contemporary literature, social issues, art, history, governance and cultural evenings. The festival spread over three days, will have approximately twenty-five sessions including documentary film screening.

Hailing from all parts of India and its neighboring countries, these participants are celebrated intellectualism their fields. The primary objective of the festival is to encourage and inspire the youth to delve into the world of reading, writing and being creative and inspired in the field of language and literature. A bookstall will also be setup at the venue to sell books of the guest authors along with other books.
