Paris: Partech Shaker to become a mini Silicon Valley, hosts Dropbox and Pinterest

partechParis, June 11th Dropbox and Pinterest opted for the Partech Shaker to address the French market. The arrival of these two “unicorns” (startups valued over €1Bn) confirms the major role played by the Shaker in the French tech ecosystem.

Six months after its opening, the Partech Shaker strengthens its drawing power with the double arrival of Dropbox and Pinterest in its premises. The two “unicorns” will join Hoteltonight.com, Seevibes and Sunrise, three international tech start-ups already settled at the Partech Shaker.
In addition to these unicorns, the Partech Shaker hosts around thirty startups, mostly financed by Partech Ventures and by eight of its corporate partners (Alcatel-Lucent, BNP Paribas, Dentsu Aegis, Econocom, France Télévisions, Haworth, Lagardère Active and Saint Gobain), who joined in to meet the start-ups and explore new collaboration opportunities as well as new products and innovative business models.
“The Partech Shaker is becoming a mini Silicon Valley!” as Marie Raichvarg puts it. The Shaker’s general manager goes on: “Being around American success stories like Dropbox and Pinterest is a unique source of motivation and inspiration for our startups. Our corporate partners also benefit from the project, as they get to understand new types of organizations and expand the scope of potential partners in a context of digital transition”.
“The Partech Shaker is one of a kind project in France, which gathers promising French startups, large corporations as well as international firms like Dropbox, who wish to contribute to the current technological revolution”, added Philippe Plichon , CEO of Dropbox France.
“Installing our headquarters at the heart of the Silicon Sentier (a reference to the historical area in the center of Paris), in such a historical building, seemed like an obvious choice. The whole excitement is very inspiring for the teams”, explained Stephanie Tramicheck, CEO of Pinterest for France.
