MUNISH CHANDER CONFERRED UPON AWARD UNDER GLOBAL LISTING OF 100 IMPACTFUL CSR LEADERS

csrMumbai, February 24, 2015: At the recently held World CSR Congress, a list of “100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders (Global Listing)” was unveiled. TCI Foundation Head, Dr. Munish Chander, was conferred upon the award in the category of “100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders in Global Listing”.

Dr. Chander was awarded for his untiring CSR leadership for Health Concerns specifically HIV/AIDS control amongst targeted populations in India. He was facilitated at a scintillating award ceremony hosted at Hotel Taj Mumbai. Speaking on receiving the award, Dr. Chander said, “the leaders are made by teams, and I am thankful to all my colleagues, who work very hard to deliver the services to unreached and deserving citizens of India, and dedicate this award to all employees of TCI Foundation”.

Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director Transport Corporation of India Limited congratulated Dr. Munish and his team for their meticulous services rendered in association with government, PSUs and corporates to the targeted communities across the nation and its impact on society and economy of the nation. The services of Dr. Munish Chander in the fields of HIV/AIDS control, education and sports development in the country were applauded earlier also at various platforms.

The 100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders (Global Listing) was a tribute to those who were missionaries and passionate about CSR. Leaders who believed that CSR Leadership must contribute to Social change were recognized. The World CSR Day paid tribute to such leaders who were transformational agents. It also worked towards recognizing Leaders who had contributed value & made a change. Such Leaders who were impactful & believe that there was a MAD (Making A Difference) approach to their work. The approach was driven by passion & commitment towards Social Change.

The selection for the award was based upon criteria included of strategic perspective & building; collaborative relationships; personal credibility, integrity & ethics; innovative sustainable solutions; incorporating ethical values; involvement in communities & protection of the environment.

 

While explaining the process of selection Dr. R.L. Bhatia Chief Editor World CSR Day, stated that, the 100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders (Global Listing) was intensely researched process undertaken by the research cell to produce a shortlist of Individuals who were doing extraordinary work and tracked the record of their achievements. The shortlist was then reviewed by a Jury comprising of senior professionals from across the globe.
