A Research study conducted by well renowned Kolkata based environmental organization SMG – HAI engaged in AIR POLLUTION matters published the following report on 1st Nov 2013 after scrutiny the data from wbpcb source.

This zone is most sensitive having heritage buildings, hospital, church etc but no more safe now from air pollution point of view.
Mr. Somendra Mohan Ghosh, Green technologist & Environmentalist said, “Environmental Impact Assessment (E I A) on Air Pollution is urgently needed at EDEN GARDEN also before the test match. Some years back England team refused to play due to excessive pollution.”
He also noted the fact that skill & performances depends on fresh air generation during cricket, football, hockey matches. Stamina may hamper of an athletic in a polluted zone. Although No Air Pollution Monitoring is done before the International Cricket Match.
