Maschio Gaspardo to expand agri-machinery capacity in India to 30,000 units

  • Plans Rs. 300 crore investment in Indian facilities till 2017

October 7, 2013: Maschio Gaspardo India Pvt. Ltd. (MGIPL), part of the Italy-based international group Maschio Gaspardo (MG) Group specializing in the production of agricultural machinery and a well known brand in over 100 countries worldwide, celebrated the first anniversary of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in India by inviting Mr. Daniele Mancini, Ambassador of Italy in India, as the chief guest. Mr. Andrea Maschio (Vice President, Maschio Gaspardo Group) and Mr. Riulini Alessio (Managing Director, Maschio Gaspardo India) were present on the occasion.

Maschio Gaspardo Group plans to invest Rs. 300 crore in the Ranjangaon plant (near Pune) spread over 25,000 sq. mts. to expand production capabilities for rotary tillers, power harrows, precision planters, cereal seed drills, combination cultivator-drills, mulchers, sprayers and minimum tillage equipment in India. MGIPL has already achieved a major milestone by producing 10,000 machines within the first year. This milestone is a record in itself in the Maschio Gaspardo Group & MGIPL intends to produce 30,000 machines in 2014 for the domestic market. MGIPL has already sold more than 40,000 machines, which have been successfully working across India.Plans are also underway to serve the needs of the MG Group’s other global customers, by providing local supply to their Asia Pacific facilities; the latest technology in Indian agricultural market; and double the headcount in India.
