Accenture Positioned as a Leader in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Finance and Accounting BPO Services 2015 Vendor Assessment
NEW YORK; August 21, 2015 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been positioned as a Leader in International Data Corporation’s (IDC) inaugural “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Finance and Accounting BPO Services 2015 Vendor Assessment” (doc # 256297, June 2015). The report represents a vendor assessment including both qualitative and quantitative characteristics that define success in the Finance and Accounting (F&A) Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services market.
IDC evaluated 18 F&A BPO service providers with global services portfolios based on a framework that highlights four key success factors, including “ability to offer services across the value chain of any customer’s F&A function and capability that spans automation, analytics and mobility;” “ability to assist customers with reducing operational costs, growth, and managing customers;” “managing the basics;” and “scale and people.” These factors are expected to be the most influential for success in the market in both the short term and the long term.
In naming Accenture as a Leader, the IDC MarketScape rated Accenture highly for its “future portfolio” and “cost management plans.” The report states that Accenture works with clients to “create an environment of integrity, compliance, transparency and control while helping create a flexible F&A organization with an appropriate and balanced focus on cost, the agility needed to respond to external pressures, and the capabilities necessary to support profitable growth.” Accenture is described as focusing on “delivering business outcomes, which results in a reduction in days sales outstanding, optimized working capital, improved customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs. Leveraging its F&A and industry experience across business functions, Accenture helps clients transform their business operations to optimize the outsourced and retained organizations while also building confidence and trust in reporting and controls.”
“We are proud to be recognized as an IDC MarketScape leader, demonstrating our ability to deliver business outcomes to our clients,” said Mike Salvino, group chief executive, Accenture Operations. “Having provided end-to-end F&A BPO services to global clients for nearly 25 years, we continue to draw on our industry insight and technology expertise in analytics and automation to drive more effective global operations through standardized processes at reduced operating costs.”
Buyers rated Accenture highly for its ability to integrate its project team with the client’s F&A team; global infrastructure, including the presence of local offices and resources to meet the client’s needs; and ability to optimize the ratio of onshore and offshore efforts.
