Manfest 2014 – The 27th Edition of IIM Lucknow’s Annual Business Conclave

Indian-Institute-of-Management-IIM-LucknowThe 27th edition of IIM Lucknow’s Manfest, The Annual Business Conclave, is scheduled to be held from the 17th to the 19th of January, 2014. The theme for this year’s Manfest is “Thresholds of change: Crossing the Rubicon”. A year of crucial choices, extending across all socio-economic-political arenas, any step taken from here onwards will have a significant bearing on the imminent future. In such a scenario, it is imperative to collectively rise to the challenge, and take that leap into the unknown, like Caesar did in 49 B.C. by crossing the River Rubicon into Italy, conquering all that stands in the path to prosperity.

Manfest 2014 promises to be an enthralling experience for all those looking forward to compete, debate, gain insights and show creativity. Competitions at Manfest 2014 are aimed at uncovering novel ideas, situation-analyzing acumen and sound management expertise. From purely intellectual contests to talent identification platforms for corporate houses, the events at Manfest are now helping solve real management problems. In association with Aditya Birla Group as the title partners, this year’s Manfest has spectacular competitions on the horizon such as Excelsior, The Next CEO, Ozone, Marketing Mughals and Imperatoria, all in partnership with industry leaders like SBI, GSK, World Gold Council, Reckitt Benckiser and Cognizant to name a few.

The Leaders Express at Manfest has the objective of bringing IIM Lucknow students closer to pioneers who have trodden on uncommon grounds. Last year, Manfest played host to a number of thought leaders and visionaries such as RBI chairman D. Subbarao, Kiran Bedi, Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani and ad guru Prahlad Kakkar, all of whom lent their insights to a rapt audience. Prominent leaders will once again grace Manfest and help students in developing fresh perspectives in the current scenario.

Committed to driving social change, Manfest’14 will launch the fourth edition of the immensely successful event Yajna – The Pan-India NGO Challenge, as well the Prerna Fellowship, where 20 social entrepreneurs, who seek to make a difference, will be felicitated and trained by IIM Lucknow’s Centre for Sustainable Development. The annual Lucknow 10K run will also continue to draw many Lucknow residents out of their homes and onto the streets.

But Manfest isn’t all serious business. With an array of promising acts, including Bollywood night, an International Act and a whole gamut of exciting Informals, Manfest 2014 promises to be three days of sheer exhilaration.
