The 26th edition of IIM Lucknow’s Annual International Business Conclave, Manfest 2013 is here. Theme of this edition of IIM Lucknow’s Manfest is “Triumph in Turbulence”. Given the political turmoil, economic instability and environmental duress that has come to characterise our times, it is the need of the hour to applaud those who survive and succeed in these times and inspire to do the same. The main event would is scheduled from 18th – 20th January 2012.
Manfest has had the honour of being graced by the biggest leaders of the world. From business leaders like AzimPremji, thought leaders like Ronnie Screwvala, management leaders like Chanda Kochhar and Icons like Rahul Bose, Manfest has traditionally been bestowed with the biggest revolutionaries and exemplars in all fields. The leadership activities encompass the following four formats:
Business Conclaves: Carrying the responsibility of being the flagship management fest of one of the leading b-schools of the country, Manfest hosts business conclaves with some of the biggest conglomerates of the country to discuss and bring about practical solutions to real world issues. Manfest 2012 hosted the TATA Leadership Summit with the theme “India Inc. going global: Prospects and Pitfalls” and Mahindra Leadership Summit with the theme “Driving sustainable growth by empowering stakeholders” – two very pertinent and burning issues that brought forth some brilliant ideas. The leadership events are graced by CXOs of various prominent companies, prolific economists like Shyamala Gopinath and other luminary guest speakers.
Icons: The “Icons Series” at Manfest has the honourable distinction of bringing in the most legendary individuals who have been champions in their own areas. Previous Icons have included Azim Premji, Rahul Bose, Ronnie Screwvala and S P Shukla. The concept of Icons includes an individual who is an epitome of individual par excellence, a dais and an open theatre where students come in to gain perspective of what it takes to rise up from the ordinary and become an Icon.
Corporate Luncheon: Manfest also hosts “Anjuman” an Avantgarde luncheon. The luncheon witnesses industry stalwarts, corporate honchos, local business families and brilliant students from the most eminent b-schools of the country who come together and share quality time and mindshare over a sumptuous meal.
Gravitas: The flagship Manfest publication, Gravitas acts as the voice of leaders, business tycoons and business students, all encapsulated into a 30 odd page journal. The journal, in the past, has featured articles from such eminent personalities such as Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prof. TarunKhanna and Mr.VikramPandit. It features experiences and viewpoints of leaders, real-time case studies and articles by other prominent individuals discussing issues contemporaire or in the past.
