The growing middle class, and, in particular, a young affluent population, is expected to rapidly enhance the passenger vehicles sales in India. This increase combined with enhancing consciousness on vehicle upkeep, periodic maintenance and demand for add-on services will stimulate growth in the aftermarket sector. Moreover, the aftermarket segment is expected to grow from the current levels of INR 36,000 crore (USD 6 billion), 2009 to INR 77,000 crore (USD 12.85 billion) in 2020 indicating a surge in demand for spare parts in the Indian vehicle parc.

It is therefore vital for the aftermarket auto component manufacturers to keep pace with the latest technological developments, insights and global best practices through industry-supported platforms such as the ACMA Automechanika New Delhi.
