World environment day, June 5th 2013: Jaypee Hotels is taking that extra initiative to celebrate it. A firm believer in making a change, the Jaypee Team believes in identifying issues related to the environment and ways to take corrective action. World Environment Day is observed on June 5th every year to promote awareness on the importance of preserving biodiversity.  It’s a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and the society. The group has been actively involved in planting trees in all its hotels and promoting green environment. The entire team will be planting saplings and taking the responsibility to maintain it. Jaypee would also be giving potted plants to all the guests as a part of the campaign at Jaypee Vasant Continental & Jaypee Siddharth New Delhi. Huge recycle bins will be placed in the lobby of the hotel to collect paper for recycling and making people aware about the initiative and getting them to join this drive. As a part of their hotel policy, they use healthy green foliage rather than using cut flowers to avoid waste.
