With the Grande Heure Minute Quantième, Jaquet Droz brings together its historic aesthetic codes in a contemporary watch with a unique identity.
In an act of pure devotion to its brand DNA, Jaquet Droz, known by its twin stars, presents a watch of contemporary poetry, whose every feature is a tribute to the magic of creation, imagination and the best of innovation. In a stainless steel case even thinner than that of the Grande SecondeQuantième, this new watch asserts its personality with three central hands and date through an aperture at 6 o’clock, while upholding the brand’s codes: blued steel or rhodium-plated Lancine-shaped hands, red-tipped seconds hand, rhodium-treated indexes, sunray crown, box crystal, etc. The new date aperture sports a design with sharp angles and beveled edges perfectly embedded in the dial, without forgetting the classic last day of the month displayed in red.
In its center, the new JD1150P silicon spiral movement, launched in 2014, endows it with enhanced performance. A few milligrams of pure wonder, and pure technology… Silicon is not only non-magnetic, but is also unaffected by changes in temperature and pressure, guaranteeing optimal performance over time and in the most extreme conditions. At present, watchmaking brands able to fashion this both flexible and extremely resistant material are rare. The polished aesthetic of the movement, with its openworked rotor, is admired through the exhibition case-back.
