JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ REDEFINES SUMMER HOTNESS ON THE APRIL  COVER OF THE JUICE MAGAZINE BY JABONG

jaqPlus: The ultimate travel and vacay guide with fashion and beauty essentials for every kind of adventurer.

Jabong, India’s leading fashion e-tailer, has launched the April issue of its monthly style guide, The Juice. The issue features Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez on the cover, who turns on the heat in a white jumpsuit from TOPSHOP, available exclusively on Jabong.

The Juice got the Bollywood diva to spill on one of her favourite subjects – travel. In a candid interview, she talks about her cross-continental genes, her multi-cultural background and how she saved up enough money to buy a ticket to London at the age of 16. Leading fashion photographer Abhay Singh captures the beauty at her fierce best.

The issue also offers the ultimate travel guide, with a glimpse of the key fashion trends one should be wearing this season. From the must-have beach totes to the perfect swimsuit for your body type, fragrances to keep you fresh through the heat along with the must have sunglasses to brave the sun in style; the issue is your one-stop shop for everything summer. The beauty section in the magazine highlights the latest metal trend, with gold, silver and bronze setting the tone, a guide to sexy summer legs and a crash course on how to wear the right sunscreen and never fear sunburn again.

A highlight of this edition of The Juice is the photo-essay by the environmental photographer and journalist Arati Kumar-Rao who documents her enduring love for the Asian elephant, who she’s followed and photographed for years.

Here are some interesting excerpts from the interview with Jacqueline Fernandez

As a kid, what did you want to become?

I did a bunch of things from the age of 14. I hosted TV shows on local channels in Bahrain and did some modelling. I was always comfortable in front of the camera. I knew I’d be doing something in the entertainment industry, something that required me to be on television or required me to be a journalist or a broadcaster. I wanted to intern with CNN or BBC. Their invest investigative reporting inspired me.

I even thought I’d be a documentary filmmaker, because I loved travelling. At the age of 16, I earned enough money from modelling and TV and bought my first ticket to London. I travelled on my own for 10 days. It was a crazy experience. On the second day, I ended up spending all my money and I still had eight more days to go – my first time there and I had no cash and was lost. There were no mobile phones then. One really sweet Indian lady me helped me out.
