Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world-leading marine, cargo and supply chain solutions provider, has won a new hub agency contract for the Asia-Pacific with LNG energy giant, Cheniere Energy.  Under the major two-year contract, ISS will manage approximately 100 port calls annually for Cheniere Energy across the Asia-Pacific, with the first already successfully completed in China.

Cheniere Energy is developing LNG export terminals along the Gulf of Mexico.  Through its subsidiary, Cheniere Marketing, it has sold a portion of the production from these facilities under delivered ex-ship (DES) contracts whereby Cheniere Marketing will deliver such LNG to the customers’ terminals.  ISS services will facilitate these deliveries as well as other deliveries arranged by Cheniere Marketing.

Says Tim Whitmore, Liquid & Gas Specialist at ISS, “We’re delighted to be working in the Asia-Pacific with our new client Cheniere.  Along with quality hub agency, our operational processes, innovative technology platforms such as YourISS2 and focus on customer requirements helped secure this significant new contract.”
