Import of Coal to bridge the gap between demand and supply

coalDue to constraints in availability of indigenous coal, the gap between demand of coal in the country and indigenous availability is met through coal imports.  Details of the value / quantity of coal imported from various countries during last three years and the current year, is given below:-
