IIT Delhi in association with Robosapiens India organised ‘Robotryst 2015’ at GNIOT

Greater Noida, 29th October-2014:- GNIOT Group of Institutions organised Two days National Robotics Championship ‘Robotryst- 2015’ an Automobile Engine Design Workshop and Championship in the campus. This was organized in association with IIT and Robosapiens India. This was open for all students.  The occasion was graced by the presence of K.L Gupta Chairman, B.L.Gupta – VC, Prof S.K Arora from GNIOT and Research Engineers Ashish Kumar and Ankush Gupta from Robosapiens India.

Ankush Gupta said Automobile industry is growing tremendously and has a lot scope. The industry is in need of highly skilled professionals. Through these competitions, students become better trained and understand industry requirements. This could be a great learning opportunity for students.

 

K.L. Gupta said that we aim to bridge the gap in between academia and industry. We welcome these initiatives taken by industry as well and try to give maximum learning opportunity and industry exposure to students.

 

The two day competition was scheduled into two sessions. The first day was divided into two divisions; eight theory session and practical. Practical included engine opening and reassembling it. The second day was the competition day on Automobile Engine Design. Also quiz competition on theoretical knowledge, digital designing contest and distribution of software tool kit took at last.

 

Student Nishant from GNIOT, Mechanical Engineering said that theory is the base but practical is pillar. We are all excited to inter the main competition. Nishant, Kushagra, Shubham, Abhay and Chirag of GNIOT group of Institutions won the Competition and got the entry in final round which is to be held at IIT Delhi in March 2015.
