Mr.Hrithik Rakesh Roshan was admitted to Hinduja Healthcare Surgical, Khar under Dr. B. K. Misra, Consultant and Head of the Dept. of Neurosurgery, on 06/07/2013 with chief complaints of headache since last 2 months.
He had sudden onset of headache after an impact on head while shooting a action sequence for his new film 2 months ago.
Headache was persistent for last 2 months with an increasing intensity in last 3 weeks.
About 3- 4 days before his hospital admission, he noticed change in his handwriting and difficulty in signing.
CT Plain and MRI of brain was done and showed leftfrontoparietalsubacute subdural haematoma.
He was operated on by DR. B. K. MISRA on07/07/2013. Burr hole and evacuation of subdural haematoma was done under local anaesthesia and intravenous analgesics administered with drain in situ.
Post-operatively, Mr.HrithikRoshan’s headache is better and he has normal hand function.
Hehas been discharged today and has been advised COMPLETE rest at HOME for 2 weeks. It is expected that he would be able to resume his routine activities after 4 weeks.
