Grammy® Winner Ricky Kej Performs in Delhi for World Environment Day

New Delhi, June 5th 2018: Grammy® Award Winner and Conservationist Ricky Kej performed to a spellbound audience in Delhi during the worldwide celebrations of World Environment Day hosted by India, Government of India partnered with the United Nations Environment.

Ricky Kej performed Music from his latest Album ‘Shanti Samsara – World Music for Environmental Consciousness’. The album launched by our PM Narendra Modi and the President of France Francois Hollande in the presence of World Leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Paris COP21 has already gained immense popularity world-over reaching out to millions of fans.

Ricky Kej along with his ensemble of over 25 musicians from across the globe with their mesmerizing World Music for Environmental Consciousness, enthralled the large audiences at the Vigyan Bhavan and Taj Durbar Hall on June 4th & 5th. These concerts were a Global Symphonic Experience for the first time in Delhi, with 3 International Grammy® Award Musicians from South Africa, USA, India and other renowned artists from across the country. World Leaders, Centre & State Ministers, top United Nations officials, Bureaucrats, Delegates and the entire public gathered in the capital witnessed this spectacular audio visual musical celebration.

Grammy® Award Winner and US Billboard #1 artist Ricky Kej is an internationally renowned Indian Music Composer, Conservationist and Professor. Ricky had performed twice at the United Nations General Assembly, NY among other prestigious venues all over the world.

His repertoire of work consists of 15 studio albums released internationally and over 3,500. He scored music for the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup 2011, held in Dhaka-Bangladesh.

Ricky has been awarded the United Nations “Global Humanitarian Artist” award. Among other awards to his credit, he has also won Producer of the year at the South African Music Awards (S.Africa), Album of the year at the Zone Music Awards (New Orleans), Global Indian Music Award and Mirchi Music Awards (India) and Centre for Conscious Creativity’s ‘FutureVision’ Award (Los Angeles). Ricky is also conferred with the title “Pride of Karnataka” and “Youth Icon of India”.
