GNIOT Organized Two day Workshop on Ethical hacking and cyber security

 

Greater Noida February  2016 : GNIOT College of Engineering organized a two days workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security”  in collaboration  with I3indya Technologies

DSC_0023 DSC_0044The session provided an overview of the fundamental principles of ethical hacking, network security and web application security. The workshop helped participants gain a deep understanding of the vulnerabilities, threats and attacks that manifest in websites. Participants also had a hands-on experience in exploiting those vulnerabilities and developing solutions for them .

The workshop was conducted by Abhishek expert from I3indya Technologies. Workshop targeted the basic necessities of the industries in context with the dearth of ethical hackers in IT industry. “The basic aim is to educate young and enthusiastic students in the field of ethical hacking. We aim to generate interest and information among youngsters about various threats of hacking, their implications, and preventive measures,” said Abhishek .

Students found the workshop thoroughly enjoyable and informative. “A rare combination of knowledge and fun,” said Akash kumar, a ECC student.

Pallavi Mishra, student of ECC, said, “we learnt quite a lot about the online threats which we were previously not aware of and such workshops are of utmost importance for girls as there is large threat of account getting hacked and personal details can land in wrong hands.
