Globally Acclaimed Photographer M.Reza Deghati launched the collector’s edition of  NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Around The World in 125 Years

Reza Deghati launched the collector’s edition of ‘National Geographic: Around The World in 125 Years’ at Oxford Bookstore Connaught Place on 13th January, 2015 .The evening was followed by an interaction between Mr. Deghati,  Marc Parent, International Literary Agent & Senior Executive Editor, Taschen and Ashima Narain, Former Photo Editor, National Geographic Traveller India.

Reza Deghati, born on July 26, 1952 in Tabriz, Iran is an Iranian-French photo journalist of Azerbaijani origin who works under the name Reza. He is world famous for his intrepid explorer’s style of photographing the world’s most exotic places and has covered most of the globe for National Geographic magazine. Reza was the creative director for National Geographic’s most viewReza Deghatied documentary, Inside Mecca. In May 2008, National Geographic, as part of its Exceptional Journeys series, released a DVD that follows Reza’s extensive photographic career and travels, with special features highlighting his work as a humanitarian. National Geographic awarded him the title of National Geographic fellow in 2006.

 

 

About Ashima Narain

Ashima Narain currently works in Mumbai as the Photo Editor for National Geographic Traveller India. She has worked as a portrait, fashion, advertising, wildlife, wedding, documentary and NGO photographer and also as a cinematographer for documentaries, ads and NGO films. From 2005-2007, she directed and shot 2 wildlife documentaries, “In The Pink” and “The Last Dance”.  Both were aired on Discovery channel and received several awards from various international festivals, as well as nominations for a Panda Award.
