The ultimate gourmands’ paradise, Foodhall recreates the magic of authentic Middle Eastern aromas and flavors (that includes Morocco, Israel, Greece, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, precisely the entire Gulf region) through a sumptuous spread of fresh dips, delectable breads, succulent kebabs and shawarmas. From Syrian specialties like shish kebab, stuffed zucchini, kibbeh and hummus to Lebanese meaty kebabs, sweet desserts like baklava and basbousa, to Morocco and Israel’s most famous product – the Shawarma, Foodhall has it all at this Middle Eastern festival.

 

STRIKING SIMILARITY BETWEEN MIDDLE-EASTERN CUISINE & INDIAN CUISINE

An unrivalled culinary expedition of flavors from the Middle East, the mouth-watering delicacies draw striking similarities between Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Meats & minced lamb too are cooked and stuffed with spices, laced with just enough flavor to be as exotic and piquant as Indian cuisine. The hors d’oeuvres like Labneh Fatayer and Spinach Fatayer (which are a type of samosas) will be available at all Foodhall stores.

It’s time to prepare the exotic Pilaf, Hummus & Mezze platter at home. Foodhall store is packed with authentic Middle-East staples such as Chickpeas (kabuli chana also called garbanzo beans), fava beansand Akha Masoor dal – a popular in modern-Israeli food.

Olive oil is extremely popular ingredient in the Middle East as olive trees are grown in abundance. With innovation being the driving force behind Foodhall, the live kitchen at the stores will introduce unique dips and batters for the Middle Eastern Festival – Harissa, Harissa Mayonnaise, Moutabel, Muhammara, Sumac, Pine nut Greek Yogurt, Jalapeno & Olive Hummus, Falafel batters like Herb Green Falafel, Harissa Falafel. The live kitchen will showcase the art of tagine cooking as well which will enthrall the walk-in patrons every day with the interactive cooking sessions.

 

FROM BAKERY & PATISSERIE

The ambrosial bakery counters across Foodhall stores will offer flatbread which is integral in making   Lebanese pizza, shawarma wrap etc. Adding to the basket of innovative offerings is the pastries section that brings the best from the Middle East, like Caramel date fingers, Basbousa, Mohallabia, chocolate drop and fig cookies. The meat section boasts of the newly added Harissa marinated chicken breast, Shish taouk, Lamb Meshwi.

 

SPICE BAZAAR

The Middle Eastern region is very popular for its aromatic spices. Foodhall will offer an array of spices like Sumac, Zahtaar, Ras-al-Hanout, Dukkah, the hummus mix, shawarma mix, thyme, mint, oregano, rose petals to its consumers from the ASA counter.

 

AT THE FMCG SECTION

Catering to the needs of a well travelled foodie, the FMCG section is all set to fulfill all requirements by offering excellent quality Couscous, Harissa, Falafel kits, Tagine sauces, canned tomatoes as well as tomato pastes that are used in sauces, stews and tagines. The shelves at the FMCG section will also be retailing this year’s Middle Eastern bestsellers, namely Tahini and Harissa Paste
