Firefox joins the ride to reclaim safety for women with Suraksha Mera Adhikar

firefoxExpresses solidarity as bicycle partner for the event organised by SpinLife and Jagori
New Delhi: Firefox, a leading name in the premium bike segment in India, upheld the cause of ensuring women’s safety by associating with ‘Suraksha Mera Adhikar’ as official Bicycle Partner for the riding event.  Held on 8th March, recognised as ‘International Women’s Day’, between 7:00-10:00 am- it is for the second year that SpinLife and Jagori, an NGO that works for women’s rights, joined hands to celebrate the day. The duo also teamed up with Raahgiri to emphasise on making public places safe for women.

The bike route started off from Meharchand Market, Lodhi Colony, went through Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Khan Market, passing through Pandara road, Amar Joti Hexagon and Kasturba Gandhi Marg, finally stopped at Inner Circle Connaught Place. Cultural performances by musical bands and flash mobs by dance groups upped the fun quotient of the event.

Mr. Shiv Inder Singh, Managing Director, Firefox Bikes, commented, “We are highly elated to have associated with ‘Suraksha Mera Adhikar’, as its bicycle partner. International Women’s Day was an opportune moment to show our concern towards the cause of ‘Women’s Safety’. With escalating crimes against women, it is indeed crucial to ensure a woman’s right to safer cities where she is at liberty to ride the streets openly whatever time of day.”

Suraksha Mera Adhikar gave scores of women a platform to break the ice, walk out of their cocoon, ride with fellow women in a determined move to reclaim their right to a safer city.
