Development, promotion and implementation of tourism projects including Eco–Tourism, are primarily the responsibility of the respective State Government/Union Territory (UT) Administration. The Ministry of Tourism, however, provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for tourism projects including Eco-Tourism projects, identified in consultation with them, subject to availability of funds, inter-se-priority under its various schemes as per the guidelines.
(b): The list of projects focusing on Eco-Tourism for which Central Financial Assistance has been released by this Ministry to various State Governments and Union Territory Administrations, including the State Government of Tamil Nadu during the last three years & during current financial year up to 31st January 2014 is given below:
