Ferrari Re-launches California T in India at Rs 3.45 crore

Making a comeback to India earlier this year, Ferrari aims at developing a fetish for supercars in the country. The Italian super car maker drew back owing to feeble response from customers in India, however it seems the company has returned with greater determination this year. Moreover, Ferrari recently introduced a turbocharged variant of its entry level model California in domestic market dubbed Ferrari California T. California T is available for sale in India at Rs 3.45 crores (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Pleasurable to the eyes, California T is a lavish beast that measures around 4570 mm long, 1910 wide and 1322 mm high. Offering a space for four occupants, the vehicle features 2+2 seating layout. The retractable hard top goes with the deluxe personality of the vehicle, the company claims the hard top can be lowered electrically within 14 seconds.

Ferrari’s identifiable prancing horse ornate the new California T on the outside, seen embedded in front radiator grille, on alloy wheels, around A pillar and rear. It is the design that makes Ferraris stand apart and California T has also been crafted with same perfection.

The low slung hood in front drops seamlessly into the front apron that bears multiple slat grilles. Also the swooping head lights in front are very sleek and look agile. Sides comes with star-spoke alloy wheels, body coloured wing mirrors and prominent character lines that add to the vehicle’s sporty nature. Get to rear and be prepared to fall in love with the supercar all over again; it has been designed modishly.  Rear gets dual exhaust pipes on side of the bumper and the iconic round shaped tail lights suit impeccably with the chic styling at the back.

Hop inside the interiors to be greeted by an extravagant cabin styled in line with other Ferraris. Premium leather upholstered seats in front and rear add to the elegance of the cabin. The steering wheel gets mounted controls and a Turbo Performance Engineer display that sits on the dashboard in-between the two air vents provides engine data. Furthermore, a 6.5 inch touch screen is also fitted which in turn allows operating the infotainment system.

Power is drawn from the stalwart turbocharged V8 engine displacing 3855cc. The engine unlike usual vehicles does not sit under the hood in front; in fact it is placed on the chassis in the mid-front position. The mighty engine can bring off towering power of 552 BHP at 7500 RPM along with pinnacle torque of 755 Nm at 4750 RPM. Performance on offer by the potent motor is above excellent, the claimed time to achieve 100 kmph mark from nil is 3.6 seconds and top speed attained stands at 316 kmph.

The supercar also houses preeminent safety equipments like traction control and carbon-ceramic braking system with electronic stability control and anti-lock-braking system. The company has proclaimed opening of a new showroom in Mumbai, this upcoming showroom will be located at Bandra Kurla Complex and will be operated by Navnit Motors.
