  • Fashion students Get Direct Entry From classroom to India Runway Week

New Delhi, 23rd March,2017: Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education organized the Award Ceremony for DsyN BlooM contest in association with India Runway Week.

In the jury- famous fashion photographer- Rohit Suri, FDCI member and Designer- Sonia Jetley, Designer Niket Mishra, Designer- Manish Tripathi, Designer- Rohini Gugnani, Designer Megha & Jigar brand co Designer awarded the final winners, who will showcase their final collection in India Runway Week in third week of April 2017 at Tyagraj stadium, New Delhi.

This contest was organized in Delhi and NCR with the objective to find the hidden talent from different fashion institutes and launch as direct entry to India Runway Week 2017, through Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education.

From International Polytechnic for Women – Komal Sehrawat , JankiDevi Vocational Center – Himanshi Koli, New Delhi YMCA- Mohini, Design Zone – Yashfa,  Vidya Institute- Meerut – Kriti Singhal, Magnum School of Fashion Studies- Pooja Goma & JD Institute – Parth Batra; got the first prize as Brother sewing machine.

When the Jury saw the final entries, they decided the final winners of Dsyn Bloom Yashfa from Design Zone , Simran from International polytechnic for women & Himanshi Koli from JankiDevi Vocational Center will display their final collection in India Runway Week.

On the occasion, Jury member & Senior Fashion Designer Sonia Jetley said “It was very tough to decide whom to give chance because all entries were so technically balanced & designs were really good “.

Chairman, Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education,Kappil Kishor said “The aim of this contest is to promote young design students & freelance designers those who are technically qualified in the field of Fashion. The kind of talent I have seen in the contest this year was remarkable’’.

India Runway week which is scheduled to take next month is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event. Each season of the much-awaited IRW introduces new talent and places young Indian designers firmly on the global fashion stage.
