Jaipur, 30 July’14- With the industrial expansion and progresses, competition is growing with a high rate and it has become very essential for an educational institution to make their students industry ready and that too internationally. Faculty plays a very important part for structuring students’ future, so they need to be updated with latest trends of industry globally. Taking this fact into consideration, Vivekananda Global University organized Faculty Development Program on “How to prepare students as per International Standards”. The event was chaired by Gaurav Bagaria- Director General, VGU. All faculty members were participated in the event. Discussions on, implementation of policies & guidelines of the campus, need for good communication skill and students welfare activities in Colleges & Hostels were also took place during the event.
While addressing the faculty members, Gaurav Bagaria, stated that it is very important for faculty to prepare themselves as per international industrial environment so that it transforms into enhancing eminent education and helping students for industrial challenges globally. Talking about the importance of FDP, he said that Faculty is a factor towards building the strong foundation of an educational system to ensure quality education. He also added that the event will also benefit faculty to sustain their vitality both now and in the future. While encouraging the faculty members, he said that same as Machines works for making our life easy and IT for making communication effective, faculty works for directing and shaping students to good and successful human being so, teaching is very noble but a very responsible job. He also added that teaching is an art but when it combines with latest Technology it becomes more effective. He emphasised innovation and digitisation in education as it becomes a mandate due to rapidly changing industry and technology.
During the event Faculties gained valuable knowledge about industrial trends and they also came to know how big market player like Microsoft, Toyota Motors, Hundai, Honda motors, Google and social Networking sites are using latest technology, along with innovative mind, to sustain their position in market. Gaurav Bagaria also discussed the miracles of technology in today’s world. The event also emphasized on utilizing technology to improve communication skills which further helps in better subject matter delivery to the students. The event was not only informative, but interactive too. Faculty actively participated in the event by asking their queries and sharing knowledge.
