The Education Tree in collaboration with DLF Place Saket presents ‘Nadaan Parindey’, Fusion style of Flash & Freeze Mob to Fight against Child Labour. It is a sincere attempt to help these kids against the brutality of life that they have to face and bring a sense of realization in the society as to how these children get victimized.
There is an old saying that goes ‘The child is the father of the man’, it simply translates that childhood is the formative period when a man’s character is shaped, traits are built and values inculcated. Quality of life at this stage assumes great importance in the light that today’s children are tomorrow’s adults and would soon be key players or movers & shakers as we call them in the great new world all of us dream of. Unfortunately some children remain rather neglected, deprived and actively exploited as a means of cheap labour. Child labour is a crime against humanity, an inhuman practice that stunts the physical and mental growth and stifles the free roaming spirit of the child.
The act will revolve around the ongoing campaign at DLF Place Saket “Say no to Crackers”, as Child labour is majorly exploited in the fire cracker factories. As a part of this initiative a series of art based performances have been scheduled on 19 October 2013 at DLF Place, Saket to fight for the kids who deserve a better future. This will involve the use of mega flashmobs in which more than 50 dancers will be giving a fun based dance performance which will further be amalgamated with a theatrical gig. At regular intervals, freeze mobs will be performed wherein different placards carrying messages against child labour, important information on laws pertaining to it and various helpline numbers will be used to spread awareness regarding the cause. The campaign has been initiated during the festive season of Diwali keeping in mind the large number of children who’re employed in fire crackers making industry.
