DiamondRoadShows.com holds diamond business matching events with 14 diamond firms in three mega cities in Southern China

December 22, 2013 — Antwerp, Belgium: Fourteen prominent diamond companies from Belgium, Israel and India participated in a series of diamond business matching events in three mega cities in Southern China during which they networked with top Chinese diamond wholesalers, jewelry manufacturers and jewelry retailers in an effort to increase the participating diamond firms’ exposure to the Chinese market and create new market opportunities for polished  diamonds. During a six-day tour, held during the last week of November, the participating firms, all leading diamond exporters and manufacturers in their own markets  — see list below — met with potential diamond buying jewelry manufacturers, retailers, designers and wholesalers in Shenzen, Chengdu and Hangzhou.

Lead by veteran diamond marketing specialist Dirk Blommaert of Antwerp, Belgium, in conjunction with Ya’akov Almor, an industry consultant from Israel, the Diamond Road Show was co-organized with and supported by the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE).

The participating companies participated in a series of intensive B2B diamond business matching and networking meetings in three of China’s southern mega cities: Shenzhen, Chengdu and Hangzhou. “The gem and jewelry markets in these cities are growing in double digit percentages year after year and this was a very good opportunity for the participating diamond companies to get a foot in the door,” Blommaert said.

The November road show was organized in the wake of earlier, very successful business matching events for Belgian diamond firms that took place – under the banner of ACTYF, an  interest group of Antwerp diamond firms – in 2011 and 2012, in Shenzhen and Shanghai. During 2013, Blommaert also organized several successful ACTYF missions to Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and China which were highly successful.

“For the November 2013 event, however, we decided to open up the registration for companies from Israel and India as well. And the partners in DiamondRoadShows.com are already working on several, new opportunities around the globe for 2014!” Blommaert stated.

The participating  companies were: Dharmdiam; Chintamani;  Rosy Blue; Supergems; Kiran, Mansan Diamonds; Yaelstar – J.B. and Bros.; Leo Schachter Diamonds;  Novel Collection; Shlomo Bichachi
