Design Excellence of Philips Display Honored with Red Dot Design Award 2017

Fremont, California – April 3, 2017 – Today EPI, the North America brand license partner for Philips Monitors, announces that Philips has been awarded the Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2017 for the Philips 349X7FJEW. The award-winning display is curved, testifying to EPI’s ability to combine advanced viewing experience with design excellence. The Red Dot Award, which every year attracts more than 5,000 submissions from over 50 nations, is one of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world.

“As the world becomes increasingly connected, people are sharing their living and working spaces with more and more tech products. And they expect these products not just to perform brilliantly, but also to have a design that merges with the interior and perfectly suits how they live and work. We are therefore delighted that our display, which we created to fulfill this expectation, has been recognized by the Red Dot jury,” says Chris Brown, Manager Global Product Marketing Philips Monitors.

The Red Dot Award Winner

The award-winning display features a curved screen, which creates a subtle immersion effect by curving around the user’s line of vision. The 34-inch X Line LCD display (the 349X7FJEW) perfectly combines functionality with innovation, enhancing the wraparound experience with an ultra-narrow border for edge-to-edge viewing. CrystalClear, UltraWide Quad HD resolution, with 3440 x 1440 pixels, provides excellent visuals in panoramic format. This makes the monitor especially suitable for creative tasks.

Moreover, the display is equipped with LowBlue Mode and is height adjustable for health-friendly usage. It will be available at the end of April.
