The four-year financial plan 2014-2018 strategically aims to increase the productivity of the company in line with the horizontal expansion in the Egyptian market. This will be achieved by injecting investments of more than EGP 20 million annually into the projects dedicated to improving productivity, training and development in order to expand Dabur Egypt’s market share in the country, particularly in hair, skin and oral care products.

Anoop Sharma, General Manager, Dabur Egypt Limited, said: “Dabur Egypt has a long and successful track record over the last few years, reflecting the leading position of our trademark. Our two highly popular brands ‘Dabur Amla’ and ‘Vatika’ have captured a significant share in the local hair market, where both enjoy a share of 20 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively. The company has adopted a clear expansion policy, aiming to enhance its presence in the Egyptian market with the expansion of its factories to 20,500 sq. meters in the 10th of Ramadan’s City. The Egyptian market has strategic elements and promising development prospects.”

“Given the strong operational and financial performance of the company, we expect a significant growth of Dabur Egypt within the next few years, which would result in a quantum leap in its sales, investments, strategic alliances and joint projects. Egypt ranks in the second place in terms of our investments and interest after India and has the biggest volume of production and investment in the Middle East,” Sharma added.

Established in Egypt in 1996, Dabur Egypt Limited is a subsidiary of Dabur International Group. It provides natural health and personal care products, including hair oils, shampoo, skin and oral care products. The company also has a strong presence in neighboring regional markets such as Morocco and other countries in Central Africa.
