Cricket Social Network CricHQ now available on Android platform

crichqNew Delhi, May 23, 2014: Within weeks of announcing the launch of the world’s first Cricket social network in India, CricHQ today upgraded its Android app with the new social networking features. The latest version of CricHQ app on Android platform allows users to ‘follow’ their favorite Cricketers, receive notifications or cricketers’ status updates in the news feed, and like, comment or share updates with their friends.

The CricHQ app is now available on Google Play Store, Amazon App Store, Nokia X Store and Samsung App Store. The iOS version of the CricHQ app is expected to see an upgrade with social networking features in a couple of weeks.

Backed by professional cricketers including Stephen Fleming, Brendom McCullum, Ravi Ashwin and others, CricHQ is the must-have app for every Cricket lover. Unlike other cricket apps, CricHQ helps players and fans interact directly without any intermediary. Prominent cricketers including Brendon McCullum, Ravi Ashwin, Michael Hussey among others maintain active profiles and post exclusive content on the CricHQ social network.

Earlier versions of the CricHQ app allowed users to track scores and statistics of all cricketers, teams and matches played across all levels (international, domestic, club and school levels) from around the world. The new version retains and integrates these features with unique Cricket-focused social network.

CricHQ Chief Executive Simon Baker said, “CricHQ users have loved the simplicity of following and interacting with their favorite cricketers from around the world in real-time, something that no other social network can offer. We are happy to bring this unique experience to many more users across mobile platforms, and our aim is to cover all popular mobile platforms within the next few weeks.”

The app also allows fans and amateur or professional cricketers playing at any level around the world to maintain their profiles. CricHQ also uses its proprietary technology to maintain continually updated statistics for personal profiles of all professional cricketers.
