Mr Kimmo Kontola, currently Executive Vice President, President of APAC region at Outotec has been appointed to lead the Americas region business as of March 1, 2014. In this position, Kimmo Kontola follows Jari Rosendal, who has been appointed as President and CEO of Kemira Oyj as of May 1, 2014. As Executive Vice President, President of Americas region, Kimmo Kontola will also continue as a member of Outotec’s Executive Board. In order to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities, Jari Rosendal will from March 1 to April 30 act as a special advisor reporting to CEO Pertti Korhonen. Jari Rosendal will continue as a member of Outotec’s Executive Board until February 28, 2014.
Mr Stuart Sneyd, B. Eng (Chem.), MBA, currently the head of the SEAP market area at Outotec has been appointed as Executive Vice President, President of the APAC region as well as a new member of Outotec’s Executive Board as of March 1, 2014. Stuart Sneyd, 45, has over 20 years of experience in the metallurgical industry and has been employed by Outotec in various leadership positions since the acquisition of Lurgi Metallurgie in 2001 and previously by Lurgi and Queensland Alumina.
