This illustrated talk will look at some of the world’s most ancient games, 5000 years old, and show how – when you look carefully – they are related to games still enjoyed today. Dr. Finkel will talk about his work recording traditional games in rural India, and celebrate the great and very human heritage of all the world’s most ingenious inventions for pleasant ‘timepass.’
