Falguni Shane Peacock unveil Bridal Statements for the Season at Asilo
Dhruv Gurwara, COO Bridal Asia brings back Asia’s biggest and most premium wedding exhibition ‘Bridal Asia’ to Mumbai, making a fashionable stop at the NSCI on 9th,10th& 11th August 2017. Bridal Asia is a carefully curated experience catering to a broad range of consumers with handpicked designers, jewellers, fine living experts, accessories, silver ware etc. It is one stop destination offering bridal shopping solutions in an easy yet elegant, sprawling and finely curated format.
Dhruv Gurwara of Bridal Asia presented a special preview evening in Mumbai at Asilo, on 31st July with ace designers Falguni Shane Peacock and Rawat Jewels. Dhruv Gurwara presented the Bridal edits and looks for the season at this evening. For the occasion, Falguni Shane Peacock and Rawat Jewels, dressed muses Kanika Kapoor, Walusha Desouza, Evelyn Sharma, Krishika Lulla, Shibani Dandekar and Anchal Kumar. Also gracing the occasion with her presence was the Founder of Bridal Asia- Divya Gurwara, dressed in
a stunning Falguni Shane Peacock ensemble highlighted with jewels from Ratan Jewels.
Over a luxe array of appetizers and mocktails created for the evening by the chef at Asilo, Dhruv Gurwara with Falguni Shane Peacock with Rawat Jewels spoke about the highlights of the forthcoming show. “We are counting down to unveil yet another trendsetting edition of Bridal Asia in Mumbai. The city can look forward to exclusive collections from all our participants and partners. Falguni Shane Peacock have been our marquee designer partners for the past two seasons, with their avant garde bridalwear never failing to make waves at our show!”, said Dhruv Gurwara.
The Peacock Bride collection for Bridal Asia features a wide variety of silhouettes like voluminous lehengas, floor scraping gowns, formal dresses, bridal saris, skirts with crop tops are some of the silhouettes of the collection. The diaphanous gowns with high-low hemlines and high slits are delicately embroidered in varying degrees and flattering forms with intricate appliqué work. Premium quality embellishments like rhinestones, bugle beads, crystals, glass sequins and feathers have been used, giving the outfits a dreamy couture effect.

About Dhruv Gurwara, Chief Operational Officer, Bridal Asia
It was while growing up that Dhruv first became acquainted with his mother, Divya Gurawara’s brain child, Bridal Asia. After completing his schooling from Delhi Public School and Bachelor’s degree from University of Delhi, Dhruv joined the parent company, Services International in 2011. Having assisted the company officials from the ground up for a couple of years, he acquired hands- on experience of managing and running large scale events and evolved into his current role as Chief Operational Officer (COO) at Bridal Asia, overseeing its various editions since 2014.
Outside of Bridal Asia, Dhruv has been a national level tennis player and was ranked 6th in the country in the under-18 category during his school days. He is also passionate about animal welfare and helps in organizing, feeding, medical and rehabilitation programmes for stray animals in the NCR region, along with his mother.
He defines his vision as making Bridal Asia a pan-India event in the next few years. Eventually, the bigger game plan is to make this into a global scale event with an interactive platform across several centers. Bridal Asia organized the first Mumbai edition in 2015, under his steer ship and the tremendous response was extremely encouraging.
There is pride in the fact that Bridal Asia is a launch pad and platform for fashion, jewellery and allied services designers, having been the starting point for a number of established designers. This partnership with veterans and protégés is a treasured association. Dhruv’s goal is to make Bridal Asia an inspiring event where the audience can interact with the barons of the design world, while at the same time also discover emerging brands.
