“We always like to pull inspiration from our everyday lives when designing because we want the bags to fit into people’s day-to-day use,” said Kema Subsomboon, Lead Product Designer at booq. “Coming from Sierra Madre, that translates to aesthetics like the navy, clay, gray, and cream as well as lightweight materials, large compartments, and versatile pockets for laid back adventurers.”
Boasting YKK high-performance zippers and comfortably contoured shoulder straps, the tough and rugged Daypack’s exterior features a front zipper pocket for easy access to a phone or travel documents and two convenient, snap-button side pockets that can be expanded from their default flush position for a water bottle or umbrella. Inside, the Daypack touts a cavernous main compartment able to hold an impressive 19 liters, a mesh pocket for smaller items, a slip pocket for a tablet and a laptop slip pocket designed to protect laptops from everyday wear and tear.
Each Daypack features a unique water-repellent polyester exterior and interior color combination. Grayfetti’s exterior is complimented by a burst of multi-color lining on the inside, while the cream-dream’s crisp red lining offers a clean contrast. The clay-canvas’ checkered interior evokes a natural, earthy look while the navy-red Daypack features a modern design with chic red, white and navy checkered fabric inside.
