December 29, 2014 – Power Rail Track is a comprehensive 3D rail design software application with integrated engineering and GIS capabilities for preliminary and detailed 3D design of rail infrastructure. The new release of Power Rail Track V8i (SELECTseries 4) now shares the same powerful and unifying technology as all other Bentley civil engineering design products. This new capability advances Bentley’s support for BIM processes within projects and across multi-discipline teams.  Power Rail Track is further enhanced through the provision of intelligent 3D feature-based modeling for underground infrastructure with new Subsurface Utility Engineering functionality designed to mitigate the risk of building in a congested rail corridor. Power Rail Track V8i is proven to help improve quality, reduce rework, and achieve project deadlines on today’s demanding rail and transit projects.

Power Rail Track provides:

–          Dynamic modeling for rail and transit infrastructure

–          Interactive information mobility, with an emphasis on interoperability

–          Single technology base for multi-discipline enterprise implementation

“Power Rail Track advances rail design, construction, and operations through the use of industry-leading innovations that include immersive modeling, design-time visualization, design intent capture and persistence, and hypermodeling,” said Ian Rosam, director of software development for Bentley’s rail solutions. “This release further enables owner-operators and consultants to meet BIM objectives required on rail and transit projects, enabling the sharing of information across multiple disciplines.”
