Bentley, Porsche and BMW to Light up Indian Luxury Car Market this Festive Season

This festive season is marked with the entry of new variants for the ultra luxury segment in the Indian car market. Some of the cars which are going to be launched in this festive season are Porsche Panamera, BMW 5-Series Facelift and the Bentley Flying Spur. These are expected to be launched with a bang and with additional attractive features. Listed below are a few of these ultra luxury four wheelers.

Porsche Panamera

The 2014 Panamera has been launched by the ultra luxury carmaker, Porsche. The Porsche Panamera 4 seater sports car has been launched in the Indian market at a price of Rs 1.19 Crore and has a top speed of 305 kmph. Five models of this luxury sports car are available in the market which are the Panamera Turbo, The Panamera Diesel, Panamera GTS, Panamera and Panamera 4 with V6 petrol. The maximum power produced by the engine is 512.8 bhp.

The diesel variant of this luxury sports car is equipped with a 3.0 litre, V6 turbo diesel engine with a maximum power output of 250 bhp along with a maximum torque of 550 Nm. The average fuel economy of this car is 15.9 kmpl. There are various standard and advanced features which are introduced by the manufacturer in the car which include an electric sunroof, BOSE sound system, Porsche navigation and communication management, air suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) and parking assist with reverse camera. Along with these standard features, the vehicle also features a newly formulated Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, tweaked suspensions, new 18-inch alloy wheels, wider spoiler and optional LED headlights.

BMW 5-Series Facelift

The 5-Series has been launched by BMW in the Indian markets with the price range of Rs 46.90 Lakhs. The BMW 5 Series Facelift has been blessed with new styling updates and additional features which has wooed the customers and provided them with a desirable product in this festive season. One of the modifications in the 5 series facelift is in the control display of the iDrive operating system inside the cabin which has chrome strip border, thus providing more storage space to the car. The exterior updates include the newly designed lower air intakes, additional contour lines for the surround of BMW kidney grille, extra crease on rear apron, front fog lamps with added chrome sounds, revised rear lamps and new alloy wheels.

The variant 530d M Sport is equipped with a 2993cc engine which can churn out a maximum power output of 258bhp at 4000rpm along with a maximum torque of 540Nm at 1500-3000rpm. The average fuel efficiency is 13.1kmpl in city and 16.2kmpl on highways. The other variants of BMW 5- Series are 520d Luxury Line (1995cc, 184bhp engine), 520d Modern Line (1995cc, 184bhp engine), 525d luxury line (1995cc, 218bhp engine).

The luxury sedan, Flying Spur, has been launched by the British luxury car giant, Bentley, in the Indian market at a price of Rs 3.10 crore. The Bentley Flying Spur was launched at Exclusive Motors, which is the official dealer for Bentley in India. The model is now available in several refined colors which add to its beauty, value and elegance. Notable features of this luxury sedan include voice command for infotainment features, high Resolution 8″ touch-screen interface with Satellite Navigation System and Bluetooth, two 10 inches LDC screens installed to the back of the front seats, touch Screen Remote (TSR) for rear passengers and Wi-Fi hotspot with an Active SIM and 64 GB of Storage.

Coming to the engine specifications, the vehicle is powered by a 6.0-litre, Twin Turbocharged, 48-valve W12 engine which churns out a maximum power output of 616bhp along with a maximum torque of 800Nm. The engine can accelerate to 100kmph from standstill in just 4.6 seconds. The vehicle has a top speed of 322 kmph, which gives the riders an amazing experience. The engine of this vehicle features 8 speed automatic transmission gear box. It has an average fuel efficiency of 3.5kmpl in city and 5.5kmpl on highways.
