Big Bang Unico GMT

In this age of travel, moving constantly back and forth between time zones, Hublot delivers a simple solution to a complex problem thanks to a patented, proprietary GMT module. Its ingenuity resides in its remarkable simplicity of use. All it takes is the push of a button – at 2 o’clock to move forward by one-hour increments or at 4 o’clock to move back – and the second time zone is updated. Local time is set independently of the other hands, hence there is no need to synchronise all the hands at every change in time zone. Hublot has not only made GMT easy to use, it has optimised legibility too. Local time is shown by the main hand while home time is indicated by a second, arrow-shaped hand that is correlated to a day/night disc. Now travellers know the time in their two zones at a glance.

Tissot Ballade

Having earned multiple prizes at timing competitions, Tissot continues to push the boundaries of precision and reliability in affordable luxury timepieces. The new Tissot Ballade is the irrefutable proof with its silicon balance-spring. As a non-magnetic material, silicon provides greater stability and resistance, which translates into improved precision and longevity. Until now, silicon balance-springs were only found in the upper price segments: by introducing silicon to its Powermatic 80 movement with its impressive 80-hour power reserve, Tissot sets a new milestone in affordable mechanical watchmaking. As well as being technically advanced, the Tissot Ballade has lasting design appeal with details such as polished finishes and an elegant Clous de Paris motif on its bezel.

Seastrong Horological Smartwatch

In the 1960s, the Seastrong by Alpina plunged to 200-metre depths and established itself as the gold standard in its field. While it has maintained its diving credentials along with its distinctive identity codes of watchmaking craftsmanship and pleasing aesthetic appeal, it now also turns smart. As well as activity tracking and sleep monitoring, it features various other functions such as dynamic coaching, 24-hour worldtimer, automatic adjustment via smartphone when changing time zone, as well as various types of notifications and alerts. If the watch is lost, the data can be easily recovered, since the measurements are automatically stored in an independent cloud for 30 days without any need for synchronisation with a smartphone. Selleria Strap You

Inspired by the FENDI Strap You collection of shoulder straps, the Selleria Strap You watch brings a fanciful touch to feminine wrists. This playful and sophisticated model is fitted with a double tour calfskin leather strap embellished by various ornaments ranging from multi-coloured lucite studs to leather flowers featuring a central stud. Available in seven versions, this strap can be easily changed to suit the present mood simply by rotating the caseback, thanks to an ingenious patented interchangeable strap system. Available in yellow gold or anthracite tones, the mother-of-pearl dial takes its Astuccio motif from a sketch made by Karl Lagerfeld in 1971 for the iconic fur bearing the same name. Black Sappheiros

Like an authentic alchemist, Kerbedanz combines traditional watchmaking artistry, avant-garde materials and mythology in giving rise to the Sappheiros Tourbillon Black Edition. The gold case and dial are clothed in a black DLC carbon coating: a first! While creating striking light effects against a stunning deep black background, this innovative material also boasts functional properties notably including peerless wear resistance enabling it to defy time. The latter is clothed in transparency in this model, magnified by the purity of sapphire highlighting the endless spinning of its tourbillon. Named “sappheiros” in Ancient Greek, sapphire symbolised immortality, a reminder of the inalterable radiance of this stone whose hardness is second only to that of diamonds. In giving its name to this new Kerbedanz creation, “sappheiros” sends a hint of eternity blowing over wrists with this 41-piece limited edition.

Raider Harpoon

True to a pioneering mindset that goes back to its origins 279 years ago, Favre-Leuba has completely rethought how to display elapsed time when diving. The Raider Harpoon watch makes this vital information clearer and easier to read than ever. Minutes are shown by an extremely visible hand that points to large, luminescent markers on the dial. A unidirectional bezel indicates remaining dive time. Hours are displayed on a rotating disc with Roman numerals that is driven by an ingenious patented mechanism. The speed at which this luminescent indicator rotates is calculated so that it returns to its starting point after exactly 12 hours. The diver simply focuses on the hand, which also points to the hour thanks to the rotating disc that moves with it.

Sun Tourbillon 1/1

With its new one-of-a-kind Sun Tourbillon model, ArtyA transform mechanical complexity into an authentic work of art, by staging this fascinating flying tourbillon within its patented guitar-shaped case. Dreamed up by Yvan Arpa and produced by MHC, Manufacture Hautes Complications, it sets the tempo for the small seconds appearing at 6 o’clock, as if suspended in mid-air. Exactly opposite at 12 o’clock sits the barrel with an entirely redesigned bridge. The entire mechanism is fitted inside an X-shaped structure inspired by the struts fitted on the back of guitars for support and reinforcement. This entirely openworked construction houses the entire movement, thereby freeing up all the open parts of the X so as to ensure absolute transparency. Light literally floods through the movement, ensuring one can admire the full beauty of the polished or satin-brushed finishes in subtle shades of grey. Hand-engraved by Bram Ramon.
