Dubai, 30 September 2014 – A new initiative to build road safety awareness among young children is being taken into nursery schools and kindergarten in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

The ’Audi Heroes in Training” program was launched yesterday by Al Nabooda Automobiles. The initiative provides a combination of fun and basic road safety education for 3 to 5 year olds.

A fleet of 20 mini electric Audi R8 Spyder models give children an entertaining and educational ride on an interactive course featuring road junctions, traffic lights, road signs and roundabouts.

The children will also enjoy a series of fun and exciting exercises with guidance from experienced instructors specialising in building basic road safety awareness amongst young people.

“The initiative is aimed at teaching children good, basic road safety habits at an early age, so that they carry these lessons forward as they grow,” said Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager, Audi, Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official Audi distributor in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

“They are the future generation of drivers, and building road safety awareness among young people as they develop can help make our roads safer for everyone in future.”

The Audi Heroes in Training program for children will initially be run on specially erected outdoor tracks at a number of schools in Dubai and the Northern Emirates from October to December 2014.
