Aon activates its Ebola Response Task Force and launches Aon Ebola Response Room to help clients stay aware of and prepare for potential risks

aonCHICAGO –  Aon plc (NYSE:AON), the leading global provider of risk management, human resource consulting and outsourcing services, has activated the Aon Ebola Response Task Force, a team comprised of leading risk and health professionals across the global firm. This team is monitoring the current Ebola outbreak and providing guidance to clients directly and through the Aon Ebola Response Room.

The Aon Ebola Response Room provides high-level insight on the Ebola situation, specifically as it relates to Ebola-related risk exposures, duty of care and human capital concerns.

The platform, which will be continually updated as the Ebola situation develops, includes critical documents, such as Ebola-related travel exposures from Aon’s WorldAware Solutions, crisis communication checklists and environmental exposures of health care workers, among other materials. The site does not address epidemiologic or medical concerns related to Ebola.

“The Ebola situation is evolving rapidly and warrants constant vigilance to say informed on the issue,” said Nancy Green, executive vice president with Aon Risk Solutions. “With many tools at our disposal, including the Aon Ebola Response Room, the team at Aon is poised to assist clients to understand and be prepared for potential exposures.”

While the Ebola Response Task Force is coordinating closely with leaders of various industries, including aviation, hospitality, public entity and higher education, among others, the risks faced by the health care industry are particularly top of mind. “The health care industry is at the forefront on the Ebola situation and faces a unique and augmented set of risk exposures,” explained Gigi Norris, managing director with Aon Risk Solutions’ health care practice. “In response, we have mobilized the Aon health care practice to help clients react swiftly and appropriately.”

Note: The information provided in the Aon Ebola Response Room is purely informational and of a time-limited nature and does not constitute business or personal health care advice. For up-to-date information on the outbreak and guidance on infection control, please refer to your local public health and governmental organizations.
